A former American Idol finalist put on a little show in South Portland Saturday.
Jason Castro, who finished 4th in Idol's 7th season, came to Day's Jewelers to promote the company's exotic gem show. Castro's self-titled album is scheduled to be released early next year, but the small crowd at Day's got to hear his music for free, alongside the jewelry's store's gemstones.
Castro didn't spend much time in Maine, but he tried to take in the sights. Castro said his life has completely changed since he left American Idol. And he still feels like he's living a dream.
