Jason Castro released a new album on Tuesday, November 9. Its title, Who I Am, was the inspiration for his tweet:
My new album, "Who I Am", is out today! Show me who you are! Tweet me a picture of yourself doing something you love& follow it with #whoiam
And his fans did, a lot of them. It was a special moment and it seemed sad to see it all disappear in the fast pace of social media. In case you missed them, here are a few of the pictorial responses.
Get Who I Am and the EP, Live From Studio 1290 at iTunes, Amazon or from his website, Jason Castro Music

on the road again
Not only is Jason performing a free show at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut today, but he also stopped by the local Fox affiliate for a short interview and performance of That's What I'm Here For.
It's great to see Jason back out there on the road.
Don't forget to pre-order Jason's new EPs Who I Am & Live at Studio 1290. Will be released 11/09/10.
thanks to cba for the tip.

As we posted before, Jason is going to be on The Bold and the Beautiful and Entertainment Weekly couldn't help but make a joke. Personally, I think its funny.

EW: Ads That Rock
Entertainment Weekly did a piece in their most recent issue (#1096 April 2, 2010) on songs that are featured in commercials. "Let's Just Fall in Love Again" gets a mention for its brilliant use in the Overstock.com commercial.

Five Questions with Jason Castro
Cosmo Girl knows what's up. The Daily Kiss blog asked Jason five questions and they are great questions at that.
CG: What are some words of advice that you live by?
JC: There's this quote from my first manager when I was playing drums in a band. We were rehearsing one time and getting ready for a showcase when he said this line that stuck out to me: "You've got to be undeniable." That just stuck with me. No matter what you do, it's not just about being the best, but being undeniable. That's good advice right there!
We know that we can't deny you, Jason.
Read the whole interview here.
thanks to curls for the find!

I'll have what she's having
While Jason tours the country with Matt Hires and Caitlin Crosby, in many cities he's making lunchtime stops at local high schools. He sings, signs autographs, poses with students, and even eats lunch with them. It's a brilliant strategy to capture the teen market and it's working.
He are some remarks made by the students:
hada great day at schoool....espcially since i met Jason Castro!!!!!
i dont really know why jason castro is coming to mclean...but i dont mind at alllllllllll(:
so I get a text from my cousin saying "omg Jason Castro is at my school"...wtf why can't something cool like that happen to me?!
just left Lakeside High School where American Idol Finalist: Jason Castro gave a free concert! AWESOME! The 100s of screaming teenage girls was hilarious! One girl screamed: JASON...MARRY ME...PLEAAAASSSSEEEE!
The buzz is growing and it's seems there's an article about it in every local paper. Here's just an example:
Look who’s on the menu at Haverford High School
Sounds delicious ;)Posted by Colleen at 7:04 PM 0 comments

I don't usually blog about other blogs...
...but I have to make an exception here. It's from Brocofly.com. Not sure who the author is but he/she likes travel, food, beer and.... Jason's EP. And he/she is right. Almost two years later and I'm still saying, "OMG."
Read the blog here.
Jason's debut EP can be purchased from iTunes and Amazon.

New Year's Parade
Jason was among the participants in the 2010 Comerica Bank New Year's Parade on January 1st. The parade was held in downtown Dallas. The theme for the annual parade this year was "Celebrate Entertainment!" They've got good taste.
